Xchange Scotland would like to invite suitable candidates to apply for a freelance Project Coordinator role to coordinate the exciting last phase of the NOMADs project.
Funded by Erasmus+ Sport and launched in January 2016, NOMADs is a 3-year collaborative partnership bringing together grassroot “sport for all” and “international voluntary service” organizations across Europe. It aims to build up a strategic coalition between the sport and voluntary service organisations both locally and internationally to open new opportunities for young volunteers and athletes. The participants have the opportunity to take part in European mobilities, discover the benefits of sport, gain active citizenship experience and become ‘nomads’.
The NOMADs project is delivered in partnership with 11 partner organisations from 6 different countries (Scotland, Italy, France, Scotland, Greece, Estonia, Spain) and is coordinated by the Italian Association Lunaria. In each country, an international voluntary organisation and a sport organisation work together to create the NOMADs actions: hosting a local International Volunteering Project (workcamp) with sports events and activities for group of international volunteers; and sending local volunteers to international NOMADs mobilities organised by the partner organisations.
More information about the NOMADs project can be found on its dedicated website here and in the attached Job description below.
The main role of the NOMADs Project Coordinator will be to successfully coordinate and deliver the last phase of the NOMADs project in 2018 in close partnership with the international Erasmus+ partners and local partners Scottish Sports Futures and Dean Castle & Country Park.
