The local school was started in 1989. It was started through the initiative of the World Bank through the government of Kenya, Ministry of Education who were the brain child of the idea. World Bank started the school with the following objectives: a. To avail quality education to the pastoralists and nomad children and they moved seeking for greener pastures. b. To enable the Turkana child acquire quality education considering the limited number of schools in the area. c. To provide equal education opportunities to both boys and girls from the nomad community. d.

Epang’a Primary School is a school situated at Epang‘a village. It is a mixed primary school founded in the early 1920’s by the community leaders and stakeholders led by the late Fanuel Miluya Silunya. In 1948, the church at Kima Mission took over the sponsorship of the school. To date It is being sponsored by the Church of God. The school has trained teachers employed by the government. KVDA endeavors to empower communities to take care and support orphans and vulnerable children.

The school was started in 1992 as primary and a nursery school. It has a population of 340 students and eight teachers against eight streams. It also has two nursery teachers and a watchman. The School is situated inside the heartland of the Bunyore culture and deep into the rural area where there are very high poverty levels among the local people. Many people in the community are victims of jiggers fleas. Jiggers fleas are tiny, but don’t be fooled by the size – once they burrow into children’s feet, they wreak huge consequences.

The school was begun in 1982 and it is a public school. It is sponsored by Marana the mission of Kenya. The school has a population of 584 students with 282 girls and 302 boys. The school was started with the aim of having members of the community have access to education and more so the girl child. In this community, differences between man and woman dictate a difference in their social roles and this reinforces a notion that men are more superior to women. Capacity building will provide both men and women with political insight and moral support in confronting gender issues.

Ghazi primary school is a school is a community initiative project. The school also plays a key role in empowering the girl child as the culture of the community oppresses women by holding them in low esteems. The school offers education growth from early child hood development to grade eight. Human wildlife conflict is very widespread and primarily exists in all counties in Kenya. The most affected areas in the coastal province ate Taita Taveta and Kwale districts with elephants being the main cause of conflict.

Nyalibei primary school is located in the Rift Valley Part of Kenya. The school was founded in 1995 through the community’s initiative. It is a public school currently the school has a population of approximately 500 pupils. The school has a feeding program for the orphans and experiences many challenges such as lack of enough teachers and facilities. Throughout Kenya's history, women have been subjugated to consistent rights abuses while shouldering an overwhelming amount of responsibilities.

Kamagap Primary School is located in Kamagap Kibwareng Sub-Location in Aldai Division, Nandi South district, Rift Valley Province in the Republic of Kenya. Rift Valley is sometimes referred to as semi-arid zone. The Nandi people among the legendary Kalenjin community are renowned for their prowess in sports; especially athletics and the majority of the fastest runners in Kenya at global marathon fora are drawn from this community.

The project is located in a rural area. The area is ranked among the poorest despite being located in a high potential area with many underutilized resources. Poor health, high mortality rate among children, high illiteracy, worst in ICT, high rate of unemployment.
