The aim of this project is to maintain Morelia's historic downtown area which was declared world heritage by UNESCO. Morelia is a beautiful colonial city built in “pink stone” which is hightened by the lovley weather. Over the past 6 years volunteers have helped carry out a range of restoration activities and workshops to raise awareness about the importance to preserving World Cultural Heritage. In 2011 volunteers will continue to help preserve all its splendor and beauty together with groups of local volunteers. Both local and international volunteers will learn new methods of restoring historical buildings. They will also paint specific parts of the downtown area as well as carrying out maintenance tasks such as the restoration of an ancient fountain.

Special Requirments:
Volunteers should bring a sleeping bag and a roll matt. Volunteers should bring a sleeping bag and a roll matt. The official language of the project is English, however some Spanish would be appreicated.
