In April, Xchange Scotland sent 3 volunteer participants, Rebecca, Elizabeth and Siyuan, to an 11-day International training course ‘Agents of Change’ held in a beautiful rural village Hollókö in Hungary. The training course was focused on improving the leadership skills and was organised by our partner organisations INEX-SDA (Czech Republic) and Egyesek (Hungary). The training course was fully funded by Erasmus+ and was attended by 26 participants in total from various countries including Scotland, Hungary, Estonia, Czech republic, France, Spain and Italy.
All three Scottish participants told Xchange Scotland that they loved the training course and that they would do something similar again in future. Read more about their experience below:

“Thank you Xchange Scotland and Erasmus+ for giving us a chance to take part in this amazing training course. The three of us could not be more grateful as we come to the end of our training. We have learnt so much about the importance of personal reflection, teamwork and communication. Each of us believe that we have learnt a lot about our own core values and goals which will be so important on any future volunteering we endeavour in.”
“On our outdoor expeditions we were pushed past our limits and out of comfort zones which was at times hard but it was so important to our personal development. We also had a chance to make friends with some people from different countries and explore a little bit of Hungary. We feel incredibly grateful that we were given this opportunity from Xchange Scotland and Erasmus+. It was an amazing experience for us and we hope that many other Scottish volunteers get to take part in opportunities like this in the future.”
