Mugstock festival of music and merriment is a boutique and not for profit music and arts festival located in Mugdock Country Park, just north of Glasgow, Scotland. It is a family friendly event, attracting music lovers from all over the Scotland. MugStock will be running for the second time this year to bring the celebration of Scottish Arts back to the beautiful surroundings of Mugdock Park. Mugdock park is located just a few miles north of Glasgow in Milngavie, and is a site for regular dog walkers and nature lovers. This makes Mugstock a highly environmentally conscious festival, and hence we have green policies in place to ensure that we leave as little environmental impact on the park as possible. MugStock aims to provide audience members with an alternative reality in which they can be safe, entertained, inspired and involved. We put on a programme featuring incredible music, surreal art, unexpected surprises and extraordinary occurrences. Visitors are encouraged to camp and stay for 3 nights of fun.
The festival take place from 29th – 31st July, but the volunteers will be free to enjoy the weekend without being called upon to work. As a volunteer, they will be part of either the production or décor team (or both). The production team will be involved in the practical aspects of building and taking down the physical things which help us put on a festival, such as marquees, fencing, lights and signs. The Décor team will be involved in making the site look beautiful. We will be creating large scale art works to decorate the site and the various venues. Both teams will mostly be working outdoors.
